About Us

Gabriel Baldwin, Lead Arborist

Gabriel Baldwin began his career in the tree care industry working for Glenn Christman, founder of The Gentle Arborist, for a short time in the mid-90s. He spent the next 20 years working for himself and other tree care companies until coming full circle to operate The Gentle Arborist after Glenn's passing in 2013.

A natural inventor, Gabriel is able to think critically to solve any tree situation, no matter how complicated. Along with his team, Gabriel continues Glenn's mission of providing proper care to trees and shrubs in Nashville and surrounding communities.

In his spare time, Gabriel enjoys riding his motorcycle, diving, surfing the Outer Banks, creating handmade fountain sculptures for his backyard pond, caring for his freshwater aquarium, and working to beautify the Baldwin family property in Primm Springs, TN.

First elected secretary of The Middle Tennessee Arborist Guild 2003

Math Major, Drexel University Philadelphia PA 1969-1971

Field botanist, wild crafter, medicine maker, and herbal clinician since 1971
