SCHEDULE AN ASSESSMENT
The best way to schedule an assessment is to fill out our online contact form. You may also call or text 615-876-6904. Unless it is urgent, we offer assessments on Saturdays. Depending on the type of tree care needed and your preference, we can either schedule a meeting time for an in-person consultation, or we can come by at our earliest convenience if the service needed is simple and easy to describe via email/phone. After the assessment, we'll send an email with a bid for the proposed work to which you may reply with confirmation.
When we receive confirmation of a proposed job, you are given a time to expect us. This can be a specific date, although a general a "we are 3 weeks behind" is customary. We will email and/or call you before we come to do the work, usually the evening before, but it can be the weekend before, or as needed to arraign your schedule should you want to be home, or need to have the pets kept in etc. Urgent work such as storm cleanup, hazardous trees, keeping ahead of landscape and construction procedures, etc, can receive priority. Scheduling always depends on the weather on the day of service. We can safely complete certain services in the rain (as long as there's no lightning), but climbing work is dangerous even in heavy fog. Wet trees are slippery! We will make the call on weather between 7:00-9:00am on the morning of service and do our best to communicate scheduling changes ASAP. You may always text us at 615-876-6904 for the fastest response.
Please let us know if we need to have your services completed within a certain time frame (construction projects, grass seeding, planned event, vacation, etc) or if there is no rush.
Please make check or money order payable to The Gentle Arborist and mail to the address listed on our contact form. Payment is appreciated on the day of service. If you're not home, we'll email you an invoice after service is complete (if applicable, we wait to bill until after stump grinding is complete, which is 1-7 days after tree removal). Balances outstanding 30 days past the invoice date will incur a 10% late fee.
We do our best to minimize risk, but tree work can be unpredictable. In the case of unavoidable damages, we will repair or replace anything minor. If necessary, we will utilize our $2,000,000 liability insurance policy (certificate available upon request).
